The Soundhouse Leicester Sessions presents an all female bill for March with some really talented singer songwriters on show once again!

Hannah McNally
Great acoustic act (piano and vocals) currently studying in Leicester. Hannah used to be in a band who got attention from BBC Introducing but since moving to university has concentrated on her solo material to great effect!

Claire Schofield

Claire Schofield is an acoustic folk singer/songwriter based in Leicestershire, England.

Her debut album ‘The Unwind’ completed for independent release in 2009, was written and recorded with only her Guitar, Keyboard, Microphone, Mac and a passionate love for acoustic folk.
“For my first album I just wanted a simple, genuine sound. Actually on a couple of the tracks my mic picked up birds singing and kids playing outside. I quite liked that.”

Although Claire has been writing for some years now, she didn’t start performing live until October 2013. Now playing gigs locally trying to reach out to appreciative listeners. She is noted for her nimble finger picking, delicate songs and soft voice – the many kind words of support along the way is the reason she continues.

She is currently working on her second album ‘The Lighthouse’ which will be ready for independent release in March 2015.

Claire Jackson
Another talented singer songwriter currently at Leicester University. Last time we were mighty impressed by Claire at the BAGSOC event and look forward to hearing more!
